Client: Bloomage (Beijing), contracted through Fountain International
Tourism and development planning concept for a large (400ha) private-sector initiative in a hilly terrain near the Chinese-Burmese border. The overall area was developed based on the natural resources, the steepness of the terrain and the proximity to infrastructure and services adjacent to the site.
The core area (shown on the right) was developed at greater detail: seven holiday home clusters, a resort hotel, recreational facilities, open space and parks were allocated there, overlooking a series of ponds.
The entire site is currently used as a rubber plantation and one of the aims of this project was to reintroduce native flora and fauna to ecologically upgrade the present low-value monoculture.
