Preparation of a strategic plan to coordinate all actors involved in the recovery and longer-term planning of the Andaman sub-region, covering the coastline, marine and interior parts of this interesting and outstanding region. It complements the large scale international and national recovery efforts devoted since the terrible disaster by offering a more long term perspective.
The plan is prepared under a Technical Assistance funded by the Asian Development Bank and overseen by the Fiscal Policy Office of the Thai Ministry of Finance and was carried out by a team of international and Thai consultants. Tasks included the development of a tourism strategy and the preparation of concept projects to implement the strategy. Please refer to the project website for more information and reports.
