Market feasibility study and initial planning for a new City Centre for Al Jubail. The plan area covers 560 ha. The aim of this study is to lay the groundwork for a detailed master plan for the development of a new City Centre. The focus is on establishing the market demand for such a centre and the translation of such demands into urban form.
The project was later extended to include a visual concept of the proposed plan. Urban design, theme development, massing and density considerations were turned into a physical and CAD model, a virtual fly-through, a brochure and a presentation for a consultation exercise aimed at investors and industrialists.
